The SIED Project has developed a new way to deliver enterprise support in socially excluded and deprived communities. SIED has done this by developing the capacity of community organisations to enable them to support enterprise and provide business advice in their own communities. SIED was a partnership of many organisations including local authorities, voluntary and community organisations, capacity building and mainstream business support bodies and research organisations.

Community Business Support Service

CBSS offers free advice suppport and training to Lewisham residents. http://www.cbss.org.uk/

Simple Business Solutions

SBS was contracted by the lead partner, London Borough of Islington to develop a business support arm to selected community organisations and to train the organisations’ selected employee to become a SFEDI accredited business adviser. SBS created the Community Business Support Service to provide a central hub for the Lewisham based community organisations.
